The Treatment room service offers nurse led clinics across numerous locations, providing care to the local communities. The Treatment rooms are an appointment led service and does not accept ‘walk-ins’. All referrals should be via your GP or another healthcare professional.
The service is provided across Sefton, Liverpool and Knowsley, and can provide the following treatments:
- Catheter care
- Leg Ulcer Management
- Ear syringing (over 16 years of age)
- Injections (not immunisations/ travel)
- Pressure ulcers
- Removal of sutures or clip removal
- Wound care
At your first appointment the nurse will assess, discuss, and plan with you the most appropriate treatment and care. The staff aim to keep you fully informed about your condition at every appointment and will consider your needs at all times.
Please bring with you any medication, dressings or written information that you have been given to pass onto the treatment room nurse.
Note: For ear irrigation, please ensure that olive oil (or a wax softener) has been used five days before your appointment, as failure to do so may result in a delay in your treatment. Ear irrigation is only for patients over 16 years old.
Once you have been referred by your GP or other heath professional call our booking line: 0300 790 0142. Please allow 24 hours for your referral to be processed. We can also offer a text messaging service to remind you of your appointment date and time if you provide your mobile number.
