Rathbone Rehabilitation Centre Inpatient Facility

At this time, visitors to all areas are restricted to essential visitors only, such  as a patient’s main carer.

You may be asked if your visit is absolutely essential and we ask for your understanding at this time.

The inpatient ward is a 25 bedded long stay rehabilitation mental health ward for working age adults. The ward provides a mixed sex communal environment with single sex accommodation. All the bedrooms are single bedded rooms with en-suite facilities. All of our female bedrooms are on the ground floor and male bedrooms are situated on the upper floor. Our inpatient facility promotes social reintegration and recovery for those with severe and enduring mental illness.

We offer care and treatment that respects individuals’ rights and allows treatment to occur in the least restrictive manner possible. We provide a standard of treatment and care that respects peoples’ rights for privacy and dignity, in a safe and therapeutic environment, in the most acute and vulnerable stage of illness.

Staff actively promote recovery through the use of the recovery principles.

All health and social care needs and risks are assessed by the multi-disciplinary team, with an agreed appropriate treatment/care plan and risk management plan. These include the views of the service user and relevant carers or family as well as the discharge planning arrangements.
