International Nurses' Day is celebrated around the world on 12 May – the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.
On Friday we held our event at Aintree Racecourse, with presentations from our Chief Nurse, Trish Bennett, who has shared highlights of the last year, the challenges that lie ahead and how nursing supports the economy.
Marie Boles, our Non-Executive Director talked about her career journey, as well as excellent presentations about our safe sleeping initiative and trainee nursing associates.
Christine Douglas MBE, Director of Nursing and Care at NHS Cheshire and Merseyside joined us to mark the day!
