The Government are asking for your help to give your views on the strengths and weaknesses of the NHS to help inform their new 10-year Health Plan, which they aim to publish in Spring 2025.

A joint Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England team (NHSE) has been established to deliver the plan, which aims to set out how they will deliver an NHS fir for the future by creating a truly modern health service designed to meet the needs of our changing population.

Whether you have a little to say or a lot, your views, experiences and ideas will shape immediate steps and long-term changes: a new 10-Year Health Plan for the NHS. Please go to the dedicated website which will collect your views and go towards shaping the plan.

As one of the key NHS partners within Cheshire and Merseyside we have not shied away from this challenge. Mersey Care is tackling it head on, redesigning how we deliver care, bringing treatment closer to home and really taking advantage of the latest technology and innovation. Those efforts are already delivering more bang for taxpayers’ buck wth initiatives like Telehealth, our award winning Mental Health Triage Response Team and the HOPE(s) model.

Our staff are our greatest asset, so we know it is not just recovery we need to worry about - it's resilience, too. Productivity does not mean asking our staff to do more but giving them the tools they need - whether it’s modern buildings like the Mossley Hill redevelopment, flexible working or better-connected tech - to work more efficiently, and therefore provide better, faster, safe care for patients.

That’s why we are playing our part in the launch the consultation for the 10-Year Health Plan alongside the government, and we want to hear from you - patients, their families and the wider public - about your NHS story.
