Falls and Fracture Prevention Service is based at the Centre for Independent Living in Knowsley with a team of experienced nurses, a physiotherapist and a pharmacist aiming to support people in the local community to minimise the risk of fractures or falling, improve confidence and mobility, and promote independence and active ageing. If you or a relative have experienced a fall, speak to your GP or practice nurse for a referral to the falls team.

Social prescribing is an approach that connects people to activities, groups and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. It involves being seen by a social prescribing link worker who will work alongside you to connect you to relevant community groups, support and services. Social prescribing is available for anyone over the age of 16 registered with a GP practice in Knowsley. You can book an appointment with a social prescriber through your GP practice.

Talking Therapies offer free NHS therapy for people with common mental health problems such as anxiety or depression. ​The aim is to help people change the way they feel by changing the way they think.​

They can help with other problems such as panic attacks, phobias, and PTSD and work with people who are experiencing symptoms of low mood, anxiety or depression linked to a long term physical health condition, pregnancy or being a primary carer for an infant under the age of two. Versus Arthritis is a charity community providing support for people with arthritis across the UK. They aim to empower people to understand more about their condition and the treatments and self help options available.
