Our Musculoskeletal Community appointment day will take place on Tuesday 10 December, there are appointment slots from 9am to 4pm.
The appointment days are an opportunity for patients who have been referred to Knowsley MSK Service to gain access to assessments, advice, health promotion, rehabilitation and community and voluntary sector support in one appointment.
You can attend a local leisure centre for a physiotherapy session and access a whole host of additional services, advice and education to help you manage your condition, health and wellbeing. You can see as many or as few services as you like.
Our teams of physiotherapists and advanced practitioners, as well as other support staff, will provide assessment and support to address what matters most to you.
- Assessment and health conversations with physiotherapists and other advanced clinical practitioners
- Rehabilitation and advice sessions
- Access to information and rehabilitation programmes specific to your condition

Do I have to attend a community appointment day?
No, you can choose to attend the community appointment day or continue to receive assessments at one of our clinics in Knowsley.
Do I need to book a time?
Yes, all patients who want to come to the event will have to book a time slot through the ‘booking link’. There are 14 time slots to choose from.
What will it look like?
The event is being held in the sports hall at Volair Huyton Leisure Centre. The hall will be divided into large areas for each supportive area with 10-20 clinicians per area. Once you have had the first clinical conversation you will be advised to visit the area(s) that we will feel will support you and your condition. Colour coded signs and stewards will help guide you through the space. You will be given your own document (patient passport) to keep your own notes.
How long will I be there?
You will have as long as you need, there is no time limit on these appointments. Each person’s appointment will be different.
What accessible features are there?
Our event is all held on the ground floor level. It is approximately 100m from the main entrance to the event space. There will be stewards and signage to help you find your way.
There may be a large number of people in the space. If you struggle with crowds or noise sensitivity you may prefer an alternative appointment. Please call us to discuss this.
Disabled and gendered toilets are available on site.
Can I bring a friend or family member?
Due to space restrictions, we ask that you attend on your own, unless you need support from a carer.
