We can’t meet the deep-rooted needs in our communities by working alone. Mersey Care works with over 60 voluntary, community, social enterprise and faith organisations (VCFSE) and has relationships with many more. From cost of living and wellbeing support to services for people struggling with their mental health or in crisis, our VCFSE partners bring new solutions to the challenges we face.

We highlighted these partnerships at a special event held on 13 December 2023 where Chair of Mersey Care, Rosie Cooper, offered a huge thank you to our VCSE partners for all they do for the people we serve together. We took the opportunity to celebrate achievements, to share and learn from each other and identify new opportunities to grow our partnerships. Through discussion, we heard about the value of connection and relationship building in strengthening our partnerships.

We learnt new things about each other’s services and highlighted previously unknown expertise and abilities. The agility and responsiveness of the vibrant VCFSE sector in meeting people’s needs shone through the conversations. We spoke about how Mersey Care can offer more support to our VCFSE partners and share more information about our services with them. We all agreed about the importance of making their successes more visible, and continuing to strengthen their relationships with Mersey Care clinicians.
