In partnership with Mersey Care NHS Trust, Everton FC run a program tailored towards supporting those who suffer from dementia and their carers. This is for service users, however the criteria for them to attend is to bring a carer. This provides a number of benefits for the carers including a respite service, support from other carers and a befriending service. Parents and Friends Association for Young Adults with Learning Difficulties
Club 25 is registered as Parents and Friends Association for Young Adults with Learning Difficulties, which is a registered charity providing social, leisure and recreational facilities for young adults with slight to moderate learning difficulties. This can operate as a respite group for the carer as members meet socially once a week for a disco (operated by them), a drink and a game of pool, which gives the carer an opportunity to receive a short break. Leisure facilities include day trips, barbecues and weekend breaks. Monday drop in session from 11am till 3pm.
