Clock View One Stop Shop
On the first Wednesday of every month you can come to Clock View to seek advice, support and simply find out what is happening in the community. You don’t need to make an appointment just come along anytime between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. This service is available to all service users, their family and friends, carers and Mersey Care staff.
Specialist Learning Disabilities Carers group
Our Specialist Learning Disabilities Service carers group meets informally every six weeks over coffee and cake. Carers can discuss topics of interest to them in a relaxed atmosphere. We have guest speakers and there is information on subjects relevant to learning disability care. You can contribute in any way that suits you best: listen, join in, ask questions or suggest topics for future meetings.
This is the timetable for the next meetings on our Whalley Specialist Learning Disability site:
All families and friends are welcome and must be over 18.
If you need any further information, please contact Tracy Collard, Service User and Carer Participation Manager on 01254 821152.
Tracy’s recent article, where she discusses how Mersey Care supports family members, in the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ forensic newsletter is online here (page 12).
