SD18 Policy for the Support of Service users Who May Present with Behaviours of Concern
This policy and procedure provides clear guidance for supporting service users who may present with distressed behaviors within Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.
It allows the Trust to demonstrate that the use of restrictive practices meet and uphold the guiding principles of the Mental Health Act Code of Practice (2015) and that they remain proportionate, least restrictive, last for no longer than is necessary, take account of service user preference wherever possible and provide a safe and therapeutic environment for
service users, staff and visitors.
