If patients have any COVID-19 symptoms, the advice is still for them to self-isolate, and contact NHS 111. Information on testing is available here: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
Is the Walk-In Centre the best option?
If you're not sure if a walk-in centre is the best option for you, you can contact NHS 111 for advice. NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day; 365 days a year for any medical help which is needed fast, but is not a 999 emergency. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
Please only go straight to Accident & Emergency (A&E) if you or someone with you needs immediate care for something that is very serious, including breathing difficulties, chest pain, life-threatening injuries or a loss of consciousness
You should still dial 999 as normal in a medical emergency.
