Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust have issued a statement in response to the announcement we would no longer provide Supported Living Services and Dispersed Intensive Supported Housing services in Sefton.
The statement reads:
“Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust would like to clarify its position in relation to the announcement that we will no longer continue to provide Supported Living Services (SLS) and Dispersed Intensive Supported Housing (DISH) services in Sefton.
“The organisations that fund this care and support service are Sefton Council, NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS Southport and Formby CCG, who fund the service and they commissioned Mersey Care to be the provider.
“Following discussions about the future of the service, they have decided to decommission it, ensuring Mersey Care will end its provision of SLS and DISH once our contract expires on 30 April 2019.
“We remain an organisation that is passionate about providing high quality care for our patients, service users and carers.”
